The Charlton Abbott hosts Willoughby Workspaces, our vibrant coworking environment. This summer, we've teamed up with fantastic local businesses in Lake County to celebrate milestones, network, and enjoy ourselves. Here’s a recap of the events from this past summer.
Festival of Summer Art Night
Local artists left to right included: Allison Liffman, Denise Grant, Rick Wovrosh, Dwight Boyer, Joe John and Fine Arts Association.
On Thursday, June 20th, we celebrated the Summer Solstice with our second art night. Our offices were transformed into art galleries, showcasing works from 11 local artists: M Michaels Design, Alex Cohen, Dwight Boyer, Allison Liffman, Tara Seibel, Jason Antol, Denise Grant, Colleen Hartegan, and Rick Wovrosh. Guitarist Jay Sparrow performed on the patio while guests enjoyed appetizers and beverages. Highlights included:
The chance to shop local art in our beautifully historic Victorian building.
Proceeds donated to The Fine Arts Association Scholarship program.
A delightful mix of art, food and live music.
Summer Soirée
Imagine this: you're strolling through the streets of Italy with your closest friends, enjoying a refreshing drink and savoring delicious European snacks. With shopping bags in hand, you're immersed in the heart of a perfect summer day. SUMMER SOIRÉE was July 13th.
Local vendors included: Mangia Dolce Cle, Sobern Journey, One Ray Journal, The Macaronery.
The "Sip & Shop" hosted by Erika Ianiro, owner of @alla.moda.boutique and Nikki Ferrito, owner of @olivemeliving at The Charlton Abbott. These lovely ladies put together a group of local vendors selling skincare, flowers, candles, clothing, permeant jewelry, and food. Needless to say, it was a beautiful day to walk around, mingle, enjoy tasty treats, and shop!
Ohio Department of Health (WIC) 50th Birthday Celebration
The highlight of the summer was celebrating WIC’s 50th birthday at The Charlton Abbott. This August marked half a century for the Lake-Geauga Ohio Department of Health's Women, Infants, and Children program.
Collaborating with Kathy Milo, the Lake-Geauga WIC Director, and her team to organize this celebration was truly rewarding. A special thank you to the Willoughby Elks for their generous donation, which helped make this milestone celebration unforgettable!

A big thank you to Nothing Bundt Cakes for the delicious cupcakes, Piccolo Italian for the amazing pizza, and Snowie Bus for the refreshing snow cones. We also extend our gratitude to the local Lake County businesses that contributed fantastic baskets and gift cards!
It was heartwarming to see so many families join us for the celebration, enjoying games, face painting, and the overall joy of a wonderful day.
